BOWL OF LAVENDER

I made this bowl from papier mache last Halloween,somehow it escaped being stored in the loft along with the cauldron ,cobwebs and creepy-crawlies.It spent the last few months gathering dust behind a pile of fabric in my work room, but now it has a new use,its a wonderful container for my lavender. The room smells lovely,and I can easily scoop out a handful to fill a lavender bag.

I have been watching my lavender plants as the new shoots have been appearing and hope they produce as much lavender as they have the past few years. There is something comforting about making lavender bags, its so traditional and homely.

KNITTING......SHABBYANGEL...HEADSCARF

I was given the fluffy wool by my friend Carole I love the colour and bobbly bits. I did not want a scarf, so decided to make it go further by using ordinary black wool as a textural contrast. I used reverse garter stitch for the black, and knit for the fluffy stuff. The other side is interesting, more of the red shows. I am just knitting a wrap to wear with a red strappy, floaty dress, I think it will look quite stunning...at least I hope.
I transferred this onto a t-shirt and forgot to reverse it!!!!!!! Its all back to front, oh bum!
I thought I might use this design for my labels.

I gave one of these to Sky for her birthday along with the Couture monster. She loved them both. Sky is a little devil, of whom I am very fond. She looks like an angel when she is asleep, I shall take some photos of her,she has the makings of a model .

COUTURE CREATURES

Three fashionable creatures dressed in luxurious fabrics,with bits of lace,satin and sparkly,shiny trimmings. The sculls and wings I hand printed. This was a good excuse to use some of the wonderful little bits of fabric i have been hoarding.

Each creature is made to withstand the onslaught of children and stuffed with

soft polyester .

CHARLIES MONSTER

It is not often that I am inspired enough to make a soft toy,but this was an exception.Charlie is nine and is nearing the end of the cuddly toy stage, his main interests being the PS2, PC and wrestling. However this monster was in instant hit, not only with him but all the other little angels that frequent our home.So.........I made one for Sky's birthday, one for Liam and one for the little monster...I mean angel next door.Plus three for my gallery,and a couple extra just in case!

Pink vest top

At last I have finnished another top,as they say an angels work is neverdone! If you click on the pictures you can see a close up of the printing and view in detail the applique work.This top can be found in my gallery.

I think he loves me!

He he he he! I just could not resist,wait until Colin's friends see this,he wont know where to put his face.

KNITTING

Nearly finished!A cropped knitted tank top with the design on the back. All I have to do is add the arm bands. I really enjoyed knitting this top, I adapted the pattern and made my own chart for the design. With so many things on the go I am not quite sure when I will finish this. However hopefully it will be added to the gallery soon.

A little chroched top, all soft and fluffy,very tactile. Colin thinks I should keep this for myself as he thinks it cute. I will never get anywhere at this rate, I would like to keep everything. The answer I think is to stop making things in my size!

TATTOO APPLIQUE TOP

For me this is what it is all about,creating something stunning that no one else in the world has. This top is size 10-12 and costs £20.00.

PRINTED FABRIC

At last I have finnished printing some more fabric. These pictures will be sewn onto a vest top in a decorative manner,I will then cut around the motifs leaving the edges raw.They will be similar in nature to the top in the post above.

Plum scull vest top

I printed the scull in white and silver into black t shirt fabric, then applique it onto the vest top. I cut out the eyes and nose and inserted silver net.I think you will agree that the raw edges and texture make this top so much more alive and interesting than the plain printed versions found in the shops.This top is a one off original, size 10-12 and costs £15.

I am very pleased with this top.No sooner had I made it than it was snapped up by my friend Nina.

Tattoo design t shirt.

My boyfriend Colin liked this tattoo design,so I printed the face directly onto the t shirt,then printed the hair and feather onto contrasting fabric. I sewed the hair and feather on with machine embroidery, this gives a wonderful depth and adds texture.

I have about ten t shirts in various sizes that I have dyed an interesting grey-black.I will be decorating them in a similar way, each will be a one-off original and will be for sale. However I am waiting for inspiration to strike, so watch this space!

Dragon t shirt.

This is a t shirt i designed for my boyfriend Colin.

I printed the background first,then i printed the dragon on another piece of fabric.

This, I then applique with machine embroidery on to the t shirt.

What's new pussycat?

Today saw the day of the completion of one of my latest corsets - I particularly love the Gothic feel to this, with a cyber twist (metallic fabric)
The corset is a size 10, the panel at the front is for decoration only.
There is something so glamorous about this corset - it oozes sex appeal.

The unbelievable cost of this must have beauty is a mere £25 (I know.. bargain!)
