TOPS...KEY RINGS AND VELVET HEART CUSHION

Two more tops I'm putting on eBay......both are hand printed the t-shirt is also appliqued the are both unique.

I made these star key-rings and hand painted them on both sides

.....I am selling them as a group....

This is a very soft velvet cushion that I made...Ideal for pining on brooches to keep them to keep them safe and show them off....or just to keep as a cushion.

MONSTERS....AND TOPS

My ever popular 'Couture monsters'.......I have two left and I am putting them on eBay tonight.
They have lots of hand printed detail and rich trimmings.....loved by all the children...I gave away as many as I sold.

I tie-dyed this cotton top then printed a tattoo butterfly design in navy and gold. This one is from my market stock.

I bought this top for myself...I have never worn it . Having put on several pounds (actually I've gone up a size in clothes)...now a 12...... It shows too many rolls!

This top also is too small so they are going on eBay.

LIZARD. KNITTING AND CROCHET IN PROGRESS

We bought this lizard on eBay....he goes with our pond life living room. Since getting tropical fish we have been inspired .....for the first time I can add any colour to the room and it fits in...no more colour coordinating ......

The pattern for this top was all wrong so I had to make it up myself. I just have the skirt bit to finnish... I flares out in a lovely lacey stitch.
I have no ides what this is going to be....Just wanted to try out the crochet flower ....

This is going to be a blanket for Ninas little girl....due in September. They are haveing a problem thinking of a name.......Nina has come up with strawberry!...... We all agree that it just is not something any of us would like to be called..... however ...I have a feeling it will be included as a middle name.........Every where I go I see things with straberries on.

This will be a bag.. I will embroider it and sew on crochet flowers. I am making a long strip which will be folded in half and sewen up each side.....Lovely clashing colours!

MORE MONSTERS

Another couple of monsters completed! Soon I shall be over run with the fluffy little creatures!
I'm not sure whether these are mother and child, or father and son. The biggest has a green hairy chest.....I suppose its male!

This photo came out better although he is actually pale blue!

I feel pleased that I had the patence to complete these......only six more to finnish!

My mum and dad are having Charlie tommorow untill Sunday....Horray.....Its a monthly thing, time to spend with Colin on our own. Don't get me wrong I love Charlie more than anything, but have you tried shopping with a ten year old boy?

We are of to Brighton, down the lanes my favorite place, hopefully I will come back full of inspiration. We are having an evening meal with Peter and Nina......and a drink or two!

Just hope they don't bring Charlie back too early!

SKY........A LITTLE DEVIL !

As promised, a photo of Sky........... Sky is Nina's daughter, she is ten.
Nina is my eldest sons girlfriend, therefore Sky is now part of our family.
Well....Sky is very different....and certainly deserves a place of honour on my 'devilish' blog site.
I took a liking to her the first time Peter brought her around.
The is nothing shy or demure about her.....she exudes confidence and makes a bold entrance....and useually an even bolder, flamboyant,
stomping, tantrum type of exit.
As in the words
of the poem......
When she is good, she is very very good.....
But when she is bad she is HORRID!

LIZARD, CUSHION, MONSTER AND DISH

This is work in progress. I bought the table in a charity shop, and sanded it, or rather Colin did! I painted it pink to match my living room walls and am in the process of embellishing it with pond life.

I bought this lovely material at The fabric warehouse, but felt it needed something more interesting done to it. I machine quilted it to enhance the circles and make it more individual. I have made three, one for me.....and two to sell. All three are quilted in a different way to make them different but matching.....each a one-off.

Oh what a great monster. This is the first of many, made from bits of fleece left over from my winter hats.Unfortunately this one dissapered! I found hin in my son Charlies room, he had been having a wrestle with Charlies other monster ( Couture creature). Charlie was 10 last week, and lives for PS2 ,PC, PSP and WWE!

Needless to say I cant sell him now, but keep a look out for the others.

I think this wooden dish had some soapy pressy or something in it, anyway I found it under the stairs with a hoard of other objects saved because they have potential.

A quick coat of paint and a few stamps later and I have a groovy dish, or box if you prefere.

Mind you I have no idea what to use it for!

Sweet dreams....appliqued with hand printed fabric and hand embroidered.........lovely for a boy or girl. I made six, one never left home, two were given as gifts and I sold the last one at my wednesday market. I shall do some more, but I think I shall print the whole thing and give it a retro look.

WINGED HEART SUMMER TOP

I am pleased with this strappy top, it needed something bright and simple to liven it up, so I printed this design based on a tattoo.

FROG

I just had to buy this lovely frog , it gos in with our new decorating scheame for the living room he is on the wall above the fish tank.

BLOCKY

This is Blocky. Really she should be on my angelic site, but I cant say no when I am asked to dog sit, and I hate poop er-scooping!

APPLIQUE SPIDER CUSHION

Wont you come into my parlor said the spider to the fly!
Firstly I am sorry I have not blogged for ages, there has simply been no time. I have been dog sitting an aged Greyhound named Blocky, who likes long walkies, molts a lot, insists on sleeping on the sofa,
eats cat food and poops a lot!

Above is a close up detail of a cushion I made last halloween, I used lurex thread for the web which I zig-zaged on and other rich bits and bobs for the spider. If I have time....Ishall make some similar to sell in good time for next halloween.

BOWL OF LAVENDER

I made this bowl from papier mache last Halloween, somehow it escaped being stored in the loft along with the cauldron ,cobwebs and creepy-crawlies.It spent the last few months gathering dust behind a pile of fabric in my work room, but now it has a new use,its a wonderful container for my lavender. The room smells lovely, and I can easily scoop out a handful to fill a lavender bag.
I have been watching my lavender plants as the new shoots have been appearing and hope they produce as much lavender as they have the past few years. There is something comforting about making lavender bags, its so traditional and homely.

KNITTING......SHABBYANGEL...HEADSCARF

I was given the fluffy wool by my friend Carole I love the colour and bobbly bits. I did not want a scarf, so decided to make it go further by using ordinary black wool as a textural contrast. I used reverse garter stitch for the black, and knit for the fluffy stuff. The other side is interesting, more of the red shows. I am just knitting a wrap to wear with a red strappy, floaty dress, I think it will look quite stunning...at least I hope.
I transferred this onto a t-shirt and forgot to reverse it!!!!!!! Its all back to front, oh bum!
I thought I might use this design for my labels.

I gave one of these to Sky for her birthday along with the Couture monster. She loved them both. Sky is a little devil, of whom I am very fond. She looks like an angel when she is asleep, I shall take some photos of her,she has the makings of a model .
Headscarves £3.50
