LAVENDER HANGERS..GOTH/ PUNK TOPS

These are very pretty hangers...I have put them on this blog rather than my 'Angelic' site as I listed them as Gothic Lolita.....I just though they would be ideal for hanging those lovely frilly creations on.....I would have loved all those clothes when I was a girl...never mind!!

Oh COOL I have been enjoying myself...I printed a number of tops on Sunday and have finished two.....Each will be different and in many sizes... These look great on their own or worn over a t-shirt. I printed the design by hand and have sewn on net..t-shirt fabric ans sequin fabric to enhance the design...If you click on the photo you should be able to see it all in detail....
This top has a zip....I did not cut through the fabric underneath as I thought it should be up to whoever bought it...Just undo the zip and cut up the middle...easy...Its just that men cant resist undoing a zip ...if you know what I mean!!!!! Both tops have my new label Sewn at the bottom....Every thing I make is a 'one off ' you wont bump into anyone wearing the same top.....Personally I like to be different!

MARMITE.......

This is my neighbour two doors down cat, she is a rescue cat and has only been with Michelle for a few months.
All of a sudden she seems to have formed a liking for me!....As the weather has been better I have left the french doors open...and there she is..! She is a fairly old cat so quite slow in climbing and jumping...I put her out the front and twenty minuites later there she is ...waiting at the back door. The above photo was taken at seven in the morning...
Michelle says splash her with water...Oh... I cant do that....but my shooing and telling her to leave me alone does nothing to put her off...she is around me at every opportunity!!!

Somehow this reminds me of when I met Colin....he pestered me..texted me...kept on at me...and in the end I was quite rude to him...The more I told him to p....off and leave me alone the more he looked at me with adoration...and said "I know you don't mean it you like me really."In the end I had a coffee with him just to shut him up......and here we are a year and a half later.
The thing is ...not only do I haveMarmite...but Michelle's fifteen year old son Damien as well....I told her I think her family were moving in with me.... She said it was nice and peaceful without them!

SKULL HAND BAG.............

I have spent a good part of today making this bag...mainly because I wanted it just right and couldn't decide quite which fabrics to use...I had it in my head and made it up as I went along...Therefore I can not make another exactly the same...
So.. a one-off bag ,made from upholstery velvet...lined in red standard lining material.
The skull printed onto t-shirt fabric.. I sewed it to the front and cut out all the squiggly lines...leaving it with a great texture...The t-shirt fabric does not fray.
The base is fake black leather..as are the handles and binding around the top.
It has in inside pocket..a strengthened base and a zip....

This is the top ...I love it...if no one buys it I'm keeping it !

FANG..THE WITCHES CAT...

Is 'Fang' a cat or dog name?....It suits this cat for obvious reasons.....A toy..cushion or decoration.....He is made from fake suede fabric...I sewed on a hand printed skull and wings.... I made his neck longer and his tail a bendy shape...I used my cat cushion pattern...but these slight changes make all the difference.
I am looking forward to designing my outfit for Halloween...we had a great party here last year ...I have asked Colin to get the Cauldron out of the loft...A full size one...We have things to plan.....all very exciting!

SHABBY'S HOUSE OF HORRORS.....

WITCH DOLLS........WITCH BAG.......

Hubble bubble toil and trouble....
I thought I would make a start on some things for Halloween....Not that witches are just for that time of year...to me...like angels they are for all year round.
I spent most of my young childhood either dressed in my mums petticoats pretending to be an angel, jumping off the stairs flapping my arms in an attempt to fly....or wearing a witches cloak and hat jumping around the garden...in an attempt to fly!
As an adult I still would love to be like Samantha from 'Bewitched'...Oh to be able to wiggle my nose and get my housework done!

I would have loved this witch as a child...my favorite colour. There is nothing on this doll to hurt a little one...all the elements are firmly stitched on....But she would be great for a decoration, or an adult doll. I put a close up of her face so you can see her better. I am pleased with her boots...fake leather...I threaded them with purple cotton yarn......Oh I think she is so groovy....

A bag for a little witch...made from curtain weight fabric, the handles are really firmly sewn on.

The picture is a print I sewed on...I used wool for hair and felt for her hat. I threaded hair bands on the handles onto which I sewed stars and sequins.

A cool little witch made from two prints...one for the back..the other for the front... I sewed them up and stuffed her adding wool hair and felt hat .

HANGING HEART...SNAIL CLOCK....GLITTERY DRESS..

Sorry my camera is not a really good one, so I can't get close up photos.I have made a number of decorative hearts which I have painted and embroidered.....They are just fun to have..either hanging from a door knob or hook....this is the first of many.....Actually they would make great Christmas decorations.

Oh...so cool...I have had this image in my art book for ages.....I was flicking through for inspiration when I found him...he makes a great clock.

This material is so cool...I have blogged this previously...before I got the e.bay shop...The top is fully lined, but is a little see through below the bust line....Very sexy without being too revealing. As the top hangs from below the bust it does not cling to the bits we would rather not have....Very flattering, unlike a smock that makes us look pregnant!

Lovely with tight black jeans or black trousers.

BAG...PRETTY TOP...GHOST....

This is a pretty little bag...it has a pattern woven into it and would go with most outfits.....It is from Oasis, there is a snap fastening and it is lined with satin fabric...Sadly I have never used it as I prefer a shoulder bag.

This is the bodice of the pretty black top...there is gold in the lace, beading and sequins....It is low cut and very feminine.

This photo is a bit wrong.. the fabric on the left as you are facing it looks white, where as it is actually pale gold lurex.

This is my first attempt at making a ghost...I am pleased....I love Halloween type things but cant bare cheep and tacky...I have a lot of plans for Halloween items, just hope I find the time.

Well at the moment computers work...wire less modem installed.. so fingers crossed it will all stay that way!

Bye the way... I have had some really lovely messages from you girls....Thank you all so much....I am sometimes a little unsure about what exactly I should be making.....but your comments show I must be doing the right thing.

My art is very personal to me..it is a reflection of my imagination..and my capabilities as a designer....The thought that someone admires my work makes it all worth while....Apart from my loved ones... it is my life, without art I am lost.

BIG COOL MONSTER....SHIFT DRESS

He..he..he...Isn't he just fabby? They just get bigger and bigger... better and better!
Having said that...my son Peter saw him last night and asked if I could make a teeny-weeny one as a first toy for his baby girl due in September...so I will have a go....I'm already getting over run by the ghoulish little creatures!

Back view ..showing a hand printed scull and wings I have sewn to the back...

All the bits and pieces ready for completion...

I sewed each claw separately, turned them and inserted them as I sewed him up...this was the most time consuming part...I don't like fiddly bits....

I have half made his brother..!

A hand made smock dress from my own pattern....I sewed little pin-tucks back and front...I make everything to the best of my capabilities...all the seams are zig-zagged...

Oh for an over-locker...I wish....!

scull vest top...flowery t-shirt...groovy flower painting..

This top has a lot of work done to it....I hand printed the image onto red t-shirt fabric, adding a bit of glittery paint, and silver as this brings out the design....I then applique the picture onto the top...the edges are raw and create a three d texture...It all looks very rich....I sell these tops at £25.00 but am trying this one on ebay to see how people react...Click on the photo to see the detail.

This is the top...It is quite stunning...Every one of these is quite different.....very unique.

A bought t-shirt onto which I have added bis dark-red flowers using machine embroidery...below is a closeup you can click on to see the sequin type fabric and silk centres...

I enjoyed doing this...using bright colours on the dark blue background...it makes them really stand out....The background is loosely painted, you can see the brushstrokes and variation of colour....Whilst the flowers are quite tightly painted.

This is a busy eye catching painting....it will draw attention....you will find your eyes are drawn all over the painting to study each flower...it is not something you just glance at...

GUARDIAN ANGEL PAINTING

I finished this painting a few hours ago....it was a pleasure to work on.
It measures 18"x24"....I really like painting enormous pictures...a blank wall is ideal.
I have been asked to do some rescue work on my neighbours bathroom it is painted with fish....but the trouble is everyone has had a go, it is all different styles and it needs something to pull it together....Well that's another story ...she cuts my hair so I had better do a good job of it!
Above is a close up of the angels face....sorry a bit fuzzy!
An angel watching over us.....this is what it represents.
Instead of stars I painted flowers.....a bit different... I think flowers like this are quite fashionable at the moment...

MY CAR........HIPPY CAMPER..

When I open the front door....
This is what I see.....
A terrifying monster staring back at me.
I know its just a car.....
And I can drive quite well....
But it has an evil ghoulish face...
A creature straight from hell.....!
A camper van is what I'd like.....
With flowers painted on it.....
I don't care how little power....
Lurks beneath its bonnet..
I'd like to go for long weekends.....
And trundle down the highway....
I do not care what people say...
I'd like to do it my way.....!

By Angel......

LAVENDER, APPLIQUE CUSHION, WOOD CARVING

I want you to see where my lavender comes from...this glorious bush in my front garden....

I have two of these not exactly matching...made from Swede type of fabric...lovely and soft to touch...I used peaces of silk, velvet and satiny fabric for the flower and leaves....I machine embroidered it......hopefully putting on eBay tonight.

Detail of my wood carving...

I carved this picture from a piece of mdf.....then I painted it with acrylics.....very time consuming...It makes my arm ache so I dont do it often.

LAVENDER BAGS...HEADSCARVES..

Pale purple lavender bag, filled
with lavender from my garden....

Dark purple lavender bag...

Plum lavender bag...

Medium purple lavender bag... so called as to tell one from another!

Actually they are all made from the same pale grey sheer fabric which has a lovely raised silver pattern on it...

The difference in colour is achieved by the lining fabric I used underneath....

They smell wonderful..give them a squeeze and it wafts in the air for ages.

I sell a lot of headscarves...I guess they fit up to the age of about twelve...but considering every one differs in head size I cant really state the age they will fit....I have sold them to women and girls of all ages.
